New Chairman Voting

To All WAA Members

 

Darren is leaving the role of Chairman at the AGM being held on 6th September 2026. The post has been advertised and we have one nominee. That is Deb Cooke, who I'm sure most of you will know from her roles within WAA relating to Academies, Teams and Tournaments.

 

Unfortunately, we have not followed the timescales detailed in the constitution informing members of the nominees in time for the vote at the AGM. The committee is proposing moving forward and voting at the AGM for the new Chairperson, unless there any objections that the process has not been followed.

If you have any objections that the process has not been followed please can you let the WAA secretary know by the end of Monday 31st August 2026.

 

If there are any objections, an EGM will be called in January 2027 and an alternative committee member will stand in as Chairman in line with the constitution until the election takes place.
