The Welsh Archery Association is committed to ensuring that everyone who participates in Archery does so in a safe environment. WAA, as part of Archery GB and World Archery, has adopted Archery GB's Safeguarding and Protecting Children Policy and all the supporting guidance can be found here. World Archery’s safeguarding policy can be found here.

Reporting a concern

One of the most important ways to protect and safeguard children and adults at risk is to report any concerns. Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone, if you have concerns it is essential that you report them. Remember, it’s not your responsibility to investigate an allegation or decide whether someone is being abused but it is your responsibility to report the concern and pass on information to the appropriate person.

Immediate danger – if you believe someone is in immediate danger please contact one of the following without delay:

Police – 999

You could also contact NSPCC or Childline if you have serious concerns about a child being in immediate danger. This can be done over the phone or via their websites

Non-immediate danger – if you believe there is no immediate risk but you have concerns about the welfare of a child or adult at risk, or if you have concerns about the behaviour or practice of a coach or anyone else involved in the sport, please contact the WAA Safeguarding Team, through your club Safeguarding Officer. Or use this form to report an incident.
