WELSH TEAMS

The WAA select teams for the following events each year. Please note that only archers who are members of WAA are eligible for these teams.

Exact details of the teams and the relevant application forms will be published in the News section at the relevant time for each application. 

1.Commonwealth Archery Championships for Europe (CACE)

The team consists of 18 archers which is made up of 4 ladies and 4 gents compounds, 4 ladies and 4 gents recurve and a mixed barebow team of 1 lady and 1 gent. The event is usually held in over the summer months (often in August) and the venue changes each competition and rotates around the competing countries.

2. British Outdoor Target Championships

The team consists of 2 ladies and 2 gents recurve, 2 ladies and 2 gents compound and 2 ladies and gents barebow. The event is usually held at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in June or July. 

3. Junior Home Nations and Euronations Competition

This competition is now part of the Archery GB Youth Festival which is held in July. 

 

4. British Senior Indoor Target Championships

The team consists of 2 ladies and 2 gents recurve, 2 ladies and 2 gents compound and 2 ladies and gents barebow. The event is usually held at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire at the beginning of December.

 

5. Junior National Indoor Championships

The team consists of 2 ladies and 2 gents recurve, 2 ladies and 2 gents compound and 2 ladies and gents barebow. The event is usually held at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire at the beginning of December.
